Jönköping Sinfonietta Seeks Principal Flute

Jönköping Sinfonietta, in collaboration with Kulturhuset Spira in Jönköping, is currently seeking a Principal Flute. The role involves performing a varied repertoire ranging from symphonic music to stage productions and chamber music. As a musician with us, you will collaborate with leading conductors and soloists in a creative environment at Kulturhuset Spira.

Jönköping Sinfonietta is now looking for a Principal Flute. We offer a permanent position with a probationary period, full-time.

Your Future Workplace

Jönköping Sinfonietta is a dynamic, young orchestra consisting of 31 musicians and an integrated part of Kulturhuset Spira, a vibrant performing arts center. Kulturhuset Spira presents symphonic music, opera, musicals, theater, dance productions, children's and youth productions, as well as chamber music. We collaborate with leading Nordic and international conductors, soloists, directors, and choreographers.

Since 2023, Johannes Gustavsson has been the Chief Conductor and Artistic Director of Jönköping Sinfonietta.

Our home stage is Kulturhuset Spira, whose concert hall boasts fantastic acoustics. We also tour regularly throughout the region.

Application

The application deadline is August 2, 2026. You submit your application via the link below. Auditions will take place over two days, September 1–2, 2026.

Audition Repertoire

• Round 1: Mozart K313 (G major) or K314 (D major), 1st movement without cadenza.
• Round 2: Schubert: Introduction and variations on Trockne Blumen – Intro/theme/variation 1, 3, and 5.
• Round 3: Taffanel: Wind Quintet, 1st movement.
